Welcome to our community! We’d love to learn a little about what has brought you here.

  1. I thought the doctor said I have deficiency, but today I was looking at all my medical issues. Now I'm really confused because on there it says iga nephropathy so i am going to reach out to my doctor tomorrow to find out which one it is. Either way, i know nothing about them. Thank you for the article.

    1. I’m glad you checked back in. I can see why that would be confusing - especially when you’re seeing different terms in your medical information. It sounds like a good idea to connect with your doctor and get some clarification. A new diagnosis (or even just understanding the name of one) can come with so many questions. Keep us posted on what your doctor says! -Kimberli (Team Member)

  2. Hello everyone. I'm new here and don't know if I belong here. Found 3 months ago I have iga deficiency not neuropathy. I don't know anything about iga.

    1. Welcome, we’re really glad you’re here. It’s completely okay to feel unsure. While IgA deficiency and IgA nephropathy are different, they both involve the immune system, and many people here understand what it’s like to navigate something unfamiliar. You absolutely belong in a space where you can learn and ask questions. What have your doctors shared with you so far? I am going to leave this article here, it talks more about what IgA Nephropathy is that you may find helpful - https://iga-nephropathy.net/basics -Kimberli (Team Member)
